And only the digresses follow the poets, Except for those (poets) who believe and do pious deeds persistently and remember Allah abundantly - Surah Shuarah

 شاعروں کی پیروی بہکے ہوئے لوگ ہی کرتے ہیں سوائے ان (شعراء) کے جو ایمان لائے، نیک عمل کرتے رہے اوراللہ کو کثرت سے یاد کرتے رہے - سوره الشعرا

Translation

Verse # 224: And only the digresses follow the poets.

اور شاعروں کی پیروی بہکے ہوئے لوگ ہی کرتے ہیں

Translation

Verse # 225:Have you not seen that these (poets) wander distracted (purposelessly) in every valley (of reflections?) 

کیا تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ وہ (شعراء) ہر وادئ (خیال) میں (یونہی) سرگرداں پھرتے رہتے ہیں

Translation

Verse # 226:And that they say (such things) that they do not (themselves) do,

 اور یہ کہ وہ (ایسی باتیں) کہتے ہیں جنہیں (خود) کرتے نہیں ہیں

Translation

Verse # 227:Except for those (poets) who believe and do pious deeds persistently and remember Allah abundantly (i.e., they eulogize Allah and the Holy Prophet [blessings and peace be upon him] in their poetry), and avenge themselves after they are wronged. And those who do wrong will soon come to know to what place of turning they will turn back (after death).

سوائے ان (شعراء) کے جو ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرتے رہے اور اللہ کو کثرت سے یاد کرتے رہے (یعنی اللہ اور رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے مدح خواں بن گئے) اور اپنے اوپر ظلم ہونے کے بعد (ظالموں سے بزبانِ شعر) انتقام لیا، اور وہ لوگ جنہوں نے ظلم کیا عنقریب جان لیں گے کہ وہ (مرنے کے بعد) کونسی پلٹنے کی جگہ پلٹ کر جاتے ہیں
