Verse about the importance of Retribution for Murdrer- Surah Al-Baqarah

قتل کے قصاص کی اہمیت اور فرضیت - سوره البقرہ 

Translation

Verse #178: O believers! Retribution (the law of equality in punishment) is prescribed for you in the case of those who are unjustly slain: a free man for a free man, a slave for a slave and a woman for a woman. Then, if he (the murderer) is granted some remission (in retribution) by his brother (the victim’s heir), that should be executed fairly according to the law, and (retribution) should be paid (to the heirs of the slain) in a graceful manner. This is a concession and kindness from your Lord. So, anyone who transgresses after that, there is painful torment for him.

اے ایمان والو! تم پر ان کے خون کا بدلہ (قصاص) فرض کیا گیا ہے جو ناحق قتل کئے جائیں، آزاد کے بدلے آزاد اور غلام کے بدلے غلام اور عورت کے بدلے عورت، پھر اگر اس کو (یعنی قاتل کو) اس کے بھائی (یعنی مقتول کے وارث) کی طرف سے کچھ (یعنی قصاص) معاف کر دیا جائے تو چاہئے کہ بھلے دستور کے موافق پیروی کی جائے اور (خون بہا کو) اچھے طریقے سے اس (مقتول کے وارث) تک پہنچا دیا جائے، یہ تمہارے رب کی طرف سے رعایت اور مہربانی ہے، پس جو کوئی اس کے بعد زیادتی کرے تو اس کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے

Translation

Verse # 179: And there is a (guarantee of) life for you in retribution (i.e., vengeance of murder), O wise people, so that you may guard (against bloodshed and destruction)

اور تمہارے لئے قصاص (یعنی خون کا بدلہ لینے) میں ہی زندگی (کی ضمانت) ہے اے عقلمند لوگو! تاکہ تم (خوں ریزی اور بربادی سے) بچو
